Yom Ha'Shoah - Holocaust Remembrance
Yom Ha'Shoah - Holocaust Remembrance
On Yom Ha'Shoah, we remember the six million Jews killed by the Nazis and their collaborators.
The Nazi killing machine targeted Jews and others whom the Nazis considered racially inferior. They used concentration camps and slave labour to work and starve Jews to death, mobile killing squads, and finally extermination camps.
By the end of the war, the Nazis had killed nearly 2 of every 3 Jews living in Europe.
On Yom Ha'Shoah, we memoralise those who perished, and are reminded to actively fight all demonisation, violence, and devaluation of human life.
Details of events, activities and services will be available closer to Yom Ha'Shoah in 2024.
