Simon Daoud is a professional violinist who is assigned to teach music to an unruly class of children aged 13/14. His mission is to teach these loudmouths to perform the violin parts in Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade to be performed at the Paris Philharmonic at the end of the school year. The film’s heartwarming core is its portrayal of a very diverse group of kids. As Simon gets to know the kids and their families he sees his priorities shift.
