North Shore Temple Emanuel

a Progressive Jewish Congregation

Bequests to NSTE

Are you WILLing to leave a legacy for future generations?

By including North Shore Temple Emanuel in your Will today, you’ll be helping us meet the needs and expectations of the children and  grandchildren of tomorrow.

In addition, you’ll be leaving behind a legacy of your commitment to the continuity of Progressive Judaism on the north shore.

How your gift will be used:

  • Ensuring the long-term sustainability of North Shore Temple Emanuel
  • Enhancing our facilities
  • Attracting and maintaining inspiring rabbinic leadership
  • Funding a community that cares
  • Educational programs & services
  • Providing programs for our youth

How will my bequest be used?

Your generous donation will be directed to where it is most needed within the North Shore Temple Emanuel (NSTE) community; including youth programs and education, supporting the work of our rabbis, community support or improving our facilities.

Can my bequest, even if it’s small, really make a difference?

Yes, it can! Your gift, no matter how large or small, will provide valuable ongoing support for current and future Jewish generations of NSTE.

You may specify a gift to NSTE by way of the following:

  • A residual gift, which is a share in or the whole of your estate after providing for family and friends, and other special wishes.
  • A proportional gift, which is a percentage of the overall value of your estate. This allows for growth or depletion of the value of your estate.
  • A nominated and specified sum of cash.
  • A gift of property, or other non-cash assets such as real estate, shares, bonds, stocks, life insurance policies, artwork or jewellery.

If appropriate, we recommend that you involve your family in your decision.

Ask your solicitor or trustee to include NSTE in your Will. You do not necessarily have to rewrite your Will but can make a codicil (an addition to your Will).
