Registration

If you wish to attend High Holy Days Together@Home, you must have an email registered with us, and create a password.

We welcome non-members to join us for the High Holy Days, but registration is required.  The registration process involves a few steps and requires time and attention from our staff so please register as soon as possible. If you have not registered by 14 September, we will make every effort to assist you but cannot guarantee to process your registration in time for the High Holy Days. Please note our office is closed and not able to process registrations on either Rosh Hashanah or Yom Kippur.

To register for NSTE High Holy Days, please visit this page and select the "Non-Members Registration" option.

Once you have registered, we will instruct you how to set up your credentials (email and password).  These credentials will enable you log into nste.org.au and attend the service.

If you have completed your registration, you will have received an email with a unique link which will log you in and take you directly to our "High Holy Days Together @ Home" page. Then look for the High Holy Day Services icon and the Click Here button.

Alternatively,if you cannot find the email with your special link, you will still be able to attend services.

Browse to High Holy Days and click on "High Holy Day Services".
If you are not already logged in using your email address, you will be prompted to enter your email address and password.
If you have not already created a password for your email address, or if you recently changed your email address in our database or registered with a new email after creating a password for the old email address, enter your email address and click "Forgot Password". Please, then, follow the instructions in the automated email you'll receive. Once you have reset your password and logged in, you will be directed to the services page. Please record the email address and password as your future credentials for accessing services.

If your email address is not registered on the NSTE database, you will need to call the office during normal office hours to get it added.

Technical Problems with your computer and/or internet connection

What browser should I use?

We recommend using Google Chrome browser only.

We are aware that some people have had issues using other browsers such as Apple’s Safari and Firefox.

How do I download Google Chrome? My computer is not working properly using Google Chrome – what should I do?

We suggest that you reach out to family members or friends for help in this regard. If you are having problems with Google Chrome, there are online resources available such as https://support.google.com/chrome/?hl=en#topic=9796470

During the service, my picture is “freezing”. What can I do?

If the picture does not unfreeze after a short time:

  1. Make sure nobody else is using your network
  2. Refresh the page
  3. Close your browser and use your email link to log in again or log in again using your email and password at https://www.nste.org.au/highholydays
  4. Restart your computer/tablet/device
  5. No luck? Sometimes issues on the internet resolve themselves so we suggest you wait a short while then try again

We have taken every precaution to ensure a smooth experience, but there are many factors that are out of our control. If you end up with a bad connection, you will be able to watch recordings of our High Holy Day services until Succot.
