Benefits of Membership/Becoming a member

While everyone is welcome to participate in the services, activities, and educational programs offered by North Shore Temple Emanuel, members of the community enjoy special benefits.

Membership entitles individuals and families to enjoy:

• The support of a warm and caring community

• Rabbinic support and services for all life cycle celebrations

• Rabbinic counselling and support during difficult times

• Discounted fees for all congregational activities as well as for the Hebrew and Religion School.

• Our comprehensive monthly newsletter, Hatikvah and information about special congregational events

• Complimentary High Holy Day tickets (unassigned seating).

• A say in the conduct of the Temple through a vote at the Annual General Meeting.

If you are considering membership at the North Shore Temple for yourself and/or your family, we thank you for your interest and encourage you to join us on Shabbat, drop by the office or speak informally with the rabbis or the Temple’s Chief Executive Officer, Di Engelander, who would be happy to assist you and to answer any questions you may have.

Alternatively, if you would like to become a Friend of the Congregation at NSTE please print and complete the application form. Friends of the Congregation are members of the Jewish community who wish to be in touch with its activities and programs. As such they receive NSTE’s monthly newsletter, Hatikvah and other communications about events and programs as well as yahrtzeit notifications where requested. FOC are asked to make a biennial donation for this service. (Friends Application form)
