Social/Chevrah/Outreach

We provide a home for all who seek to draw near to God. We encourage the active participation of our members in all aspects of synagogue life through the performance of Mitzvot (Jewish responsibility), Tzedakah (charity/social justice) and Tikkun Olam (repairing the world).

Jews for Social Action (JSA)/Interfaith

Jews for Social Action (JSA)

With the motto “You can make a difference”, JSA aims to educate both the Jewish and non-Jewish community about social areas of concern.

Beside their regular “I Speak My Mind” series, JSA organises an annual symposium, attracting high profile speakers on important social issues. Immigration, refugees, Aboriginal education and welfare, challenges confronting youth today are a few of the issues tackled in either the symposia or lectures so far. JSA establishes working groups which actively support these areas.
