Kadimah
Kadimah (Moving on): (For students and their families entering Years 3-4)
Upon the completion of "The Aleph Bet Story", students commence Mitkadem: an exciting four-year Hebrew curriculum. Students will learn to read and comprehend prayer book Hebrew and enjoy a sense of accomplishment as they progress through a series of expertly organized, highly relevant, stimulating, and self-paced (ramot) levels. Our master Hebrew educator, working in a Beit Ha'Midrash (study room) atmosphere, guides students through each ramah as their confidence and ability continue to grow.
Students and their educational partners also enjoy original holiday programming and Shabbat morning activities. A pageant (November) focusing upon the Jewish holidays is the highlight of Year 3, at which time students will present their year's visual arts work, including ceramic seder plates, tzedakah boxes, and shofar, designed to gradually equip students for life in the bigger Jewish world.
Year 4 students, in addition to continuing with the BPJE curriculum, concentrate upon their connection to the land and people of Israel culminating in a virtual trip to Israel (June). Students and parents will enjoy a selection of Israeli films and even dine out at an Israeli restaurant!
