Hebrew & Religion School - Meah

Chaverim
Chaverim (Friends) - for students and their families entering K-1. What a great way to build lasting friendships among children and parents and an ideal first step into formal Jewish education!
Mishpacha
Mishpacha (Family) - for students and their families entering Year 2. Students begin formal Hebrew study with the all-new and massively fun Hebrew and vowel acquisition program known as: "The Aleph Bet Story".
Kadimah
Kadimah (Moving on) - for students and families entering Years 3-4. Students commence Mitkadem: an exciting four-year Hebrew curriculum, progressing through relevant, stimulating, and self-paced levels.
Shorashim
Shorashim (Roots) - for students and their families entering Years 5-6. Activties include the "adoption" of a bubbe or zayde adding meaning to the first year; then a hands-on "laboratory of Jewish life" in year 6.
Mitzvoth
Mitzvoth (Commandments) - for students and their families entering Year 7. In the b’mitzvah year, students undertake a "Bird’s Eye View of Jewish History and Jewish Thought" utilising tailor-made materials.
Bar and Bat Mitzvah
Bar and Bat Mitzvah lessons take place with a private tutor arranged through the synagogue. Families receive the latest educational software and all the materials needed to speed along their B’mitzvah preparation.
Club Ed
Club Ed (Youth Connection) - for students entering Years 8-11. The Meah program gives way to Kesher Lanoar’s Club Ed. Formal "master classes", a light meal and an informal elective are offered each term, together with occasional social activities.
