Community & Social Events
There are a number of social and community groups catering for all ages within the NSTE community.
They include the Playgroup and the Group for 18-25’s. Details of their activities can be found here.
As well, there are regular functions, concerts, film nights and Shabbat Dinners which are held in the newly renovated Valerie Jaye function centre.

We welcome you to meet other Jewish families with children 4 years and under. We offer a relaxed and friendly environment for you to meet other parents and grandparents, and for your children to make new friends.
New connections for young and old
In its short life, our playgroup has enabled new connections to be forged – between the children as well as the adults. Those who are already members as well as those who are not part of our community are equally encouraged to come along.

Friday 4 May - Mother's Day Gifts Session 1
Come along and enjoy creating a special salt dough keepsake of your child's hand print. It will be baked and ready for decorating the following week.
Wednesday 9 May - Volunteer Cooking for Seniors
Parents join us for a social evening of soup cooking for the synagogue senior group's winter meals. We will provide everything, we'd just love your able hands! On June 19th we will be having another session of soup cooking, for those who can't make this one!
Friday 11 May - Mother's Day Gift Session 2
Paint and decorate your child's salt dough hand print. Remember bring clothes suitable for painting for yourself and your kids!
Friday 18 May - Celebrate Yom Yerushalayim
Help create a huge gold and Jerusalem stone city mural for the Sunday celebrations at our synagogue.

Friday 25 May- Shavuot Biggest Morning Tea Party!
We are thrilled to once again be supporting the Cancer Council's Biggest Morning Tea Fundraiser. Come and have a cuppa, enjoy creating healthy fruit faces for shavuot and our tea party, and make sure to bring along something small or big to donate!
Sunday 27 May - Shavuot Morning Service
Special Blessings for children born in the past year at 11am. Children's Service, flower crowns and baskets and ice cream bar
Wednesday 30 May, 8pm - ladies night out!
