The Jewish year has many festivals and special days, either remembering a major event in Jewish history or celebrating a specific time of year (such as Pesach – Passover or Tu B'Shvat).
Festival days are known as Yom Tovim and many of these days are marked by special services in the synagogue as well as foods such as latkes at Channukah or Matzah at Pesach. In this section of the site you will find information about the various festivals and commemorations and their observance in our progressive community.
