We value our role as a centre for life-long
Jewish learning and spiritual development within the synagogue, the

Melton, the largest non-denominational adult Jewish education network
in the world, is a world pioneer in the field of adult Jewish education,
forming an international network of community-based programs offering
adults the opportunity to acquire Jewish literacy in an open, pluralistic,
intellectually stimulating learning environment. North Shore Temple
Emanuel is host to the Year 1 and Year 2 programs. For further details
call the Shalom Institute on 9663 1366.
North Shore Night School
Rabbi Robuck and our talented Night School faculty recognise the vast
array of interests that exist among Jewish learners. For that reason our
course options account for, and are suitable to, many different tastes and
backgrounds. A quick look below should reveal something of interest.
Participants are expected to select one educational pathway for each 4
week series. New pathways may be chosen at the beginning of each new
course-series or you can stay with your favourite!
This initiative, organised by Rabbi Robuck, brings together adult Jewish
learners seeking a high-quality Jewish learning experience on the North
Shore.
A modest commitment of four weeks in March and again in November,
presented on consecutive Thursday evenings, allows students the chance to
interact in an open and enquiring spirit with leading educators and to
explore diverse topics like Hebrew, Jewish Arts and Culture, Sacred Text,
Jewish Thought and Life Skills. Ongoing enrolment at “School” promises
both a depth and breadth of learning.
