Mazon

The Mazon program of tzedakah, fundraising and collecting food as a Jewish response to hunger was initiated by Rabbi Lampert in 1990. Now a joint program between The Emanuel Synagogue & NSTE we distribute funds to support the Djarragung Breakfast Program, OzHarvest food distribution and the work of Oxfam and Care Australia. Our annual Mazon Food Bag Appeal supporting the hungry is held during the high holidays.
